All-American Barbecue Chicken

  • 4 lbs Meaty Chicken Pieces
  • 1/2 cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper


  1. If desired, remove chicken skin. Divide chicken into two resealable bags.
  2. For marinade, in a small bowl combine 1/2 cup lemon juice, oil, garlic, salt and black pepper. Pour over chicken.
  3. Seal bags; turn to coat. Marinate in refrigerator overnight. Turning occasionally.
  4. Prepare the BBQ sauce.
  5. Grill 50-60 minutes over indirect, medium heat. Until no longer pink
  6. Brush chicken with BBQ sauce after 20 minutes of grilling. And frequently during the last 10 minutes.
